The Vision

Activate    Activate    Activate    Activate    Activate    Activate

What good is the Army or the Army Reserves if they never go to the battlefield?, maybe they’ve lost so many times they just can’t find it in themselves to try again.

What if the Army starts to make a million reasons why the battle is not necessary?

What if they do not work and train together with the same purpose toward a common cause?

The answer is obvious, They would be as useless to themselves as they are to the people they protect.

If for Christians the battle was measured by how many souls you have lead into a living relationship with Christ, can it be said of you that you never showed up to fight?

There are literally millions of believers that do not regularly attend a church at all, or attend a church regularly and do not take an active roll in any program other than to come and go to church.

In most all these cases these people are lacking in basic spiritual development.

In many cases these people fall away from the Lord and their spiritual commitment. They often lose or lessen their love and service for the Lord.

In other cases they become extremely critical of the church, and the faults of the people in it, and decide to never return.

This ministry is designed to evangelize, work with and encourage those that believe on Jesus as Lord and Savior whether they attend a church or not, and especially targets those that fit into two groups:

Primarily those that believe on Jesus but do not currently attend congregational church services regularly, the  “un-churched”.

Those that believe on Jesus, attend congregational worship regularly, whether they take an active roll in the spiritual development of fellow Christians or not, the “churched”.

It is the purpose of this ministry to both unite the churched Christians with the un-churched Christians and to encourage mutual respect and acceptance for each others choice whether to attend church or not.

The hope of this ministry is to encourage those that attend a church to work with, accept and treat those that believe on Jesus but do not attend a church as equal partners in the kingdom of God.

This ministry seeks to build bridges of partnership and achievement between the churched and the un-churched  Christians.

This ministry also seeks to break down the walls between the churched and un-churched Christians that have for many years made the un-churched feel their religion is in vain.

It also seeks to unite and activate those that attend a church but may be made to feel less important, either by active members or of themselves because they don’t actively work in a church position.

In this:
The church as a whole becomes more active building itself up from the inside out and from the outside in.

Both the churched and the un-churched assume a more meaningful, active, and constructive relationship among themselves and with Christ. This will naturally contribute toward the building of the body of Christ.

Those that go to church will now seek to unite in Christian love with those that do not go to church, instead of making them feel rejected or pressured to attend church services.

In this program ideas are sought out from every member about how to work together to accomplish things that contribute to the glory of God in Christ Jesus.

Members work together in various ways to develop themselves spiritually.

It may be through very small task such as simply developing a daily prayer list for one another or a small bible reading for each day and/or a call to each other from time to time,

Or through the planning and achievement of some event such as doing a Christian play, organizing a Christian concert in the park, or dinner for all the community to come out and share in the praise and worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Another way  to achieve this is to dedicate something you are all ready doing and its achievement to the glory of God, such as a work project, home project, or any personal goal.

Another great way to really get 2010YR growing is through promotion work, for example: wearing a 2010YR T-Shirt, embroidered logo on your shirt or baseball cap, or post it on a sign along a traveled route, or use a bumper sticker. There’s also placing an ad in the local news paper with a call back number, or setting up your own internet site telling about it or even testifying to other through a commentary or special event related to 2010YR.

In the promotion work is where true creativity and character are expressed and any number of a thousand ways can be employed to promote 2010YR even TV, radio, or billboards, or any number of mainstream or not so mainstream ways to promote the cause, so long as its glorifying to God, Christ centered and not objectionable in any way. That’s the 2010YR way.

Participating in 2010YR is simple: Deciding to follow Jesus, set a  goal (dedicate it unto Gods glory), and partner with other saints (churched or un-churched) toward a common cause.

The next goal should be to participate in the weekly sometimes biweekly grand event passed on (usually) to all members by phone, email, or the 2010YR internet site.

The weekly grand event is a small project usually inexpensive for all and easy to do. For example: embroider a favorite shirt with 2010YR, have a small sign made and place it along a traveled route, call a friend and introduce them to 2010YR, or simply read the chapter for the week.

Many ideas are needed for the weekly grand event, so members are ask to be creative and submit ideas that promote the cause and more importantly glorify Jesus as the Son of God our Lord and Savior.

2010YR is by no means a substitute for the wealth of Gods blessings bestowed upon his followers through his ordained institution which is the church.

2010YR is an evangelistic tool which seeks to draw believers into an active and closer walk with Jesus.

The strategy of 2010YR is to love and develop relationships and accept believers in Christ weather they attend church or not and work with them to set realistic goals for the Lord without the requirement, pressure, or expectation of going to church or being an active bible teacher while a member of a church.

It is not the intent of this ministry to teach that none membership in a local congregation is Christ intent for believers, but for those that are members of the church to love and accept these believers as member of Christ body whether they choose to attend a church regularly or not.

Finally it is the hope, that through this ministry those that do not currently go to church regularly will come to appreciate the treasures of Gods benefits in the ordain institution of God, the church, and will be all the more excited about not only becoming a member of a body of Christ centered believers but ultimately take an active roll in strengthening the body of Christ.

In the same this ministry hopes to help those that do currently go to church regularly, completely and wholly accept, love and care for those that (for what ever the reason) have decided not to attend a church, and to become active in their efforts to reach, work with and love those Christians that may otherwise be drifting into a condition of being forever separated from the Lord Jesus.
