The 20 and 10 Concept of Building

Imagine if for every step Jesus took toward the scene of crucifixion there was some one different to bear that cross each step of the way. It would have obviously been as though the cross had not been carried, for the work would be so insignificant for each bearer. Look out across this great country and even this world and see all of the magnificent creations built simply by the hands of men and women and everyday people like yourself. Just consider the freeway system itself which is a vast interconnecting never ending work on a size and scale unimaginable for most. What if it was left up to one man or just a few dedicated people here or there to put into place a system that feeds a life line to the entire world? Well the answer would be obvious, we would all starve and die.

In the scope of 2010YR the same holds true, if we all do just a little, just our part we too could be a meaningful part, an important link in the chain of accomplishment and a proud member of a grand work for Jesus Christ that serves as a spiritual super highway on the size and scale the like of which could only be compare with the physical highway system now in place. The church has so many locations, so many communities, but spiritually speaking, there is not one single work that all of us as regular church members and members that are not so regular can all join forces together to not only be a working, living, active part of the kingdom of God, but to revolutionize the way we do battle against the enemy Satan. If we all do our part, like the freeway system, there can be no end to the avenues we can open up to the kingdom of God, if we all simply join together to get it done through one very simple formula of activity.

We therefore introduce to you the 20 and 10 concept of building a spiritual super highway in the kingdom of God in Christ Jesus. May the world be changed and the church become the  powerful instrument of salvation it was always design and destined to become. And may repentance unto Christ flow daily like the traffic on a million highways.

20 and 10 are step you can take to become a building block, not just in 2010YR but ultimately in the kingdom of God’s dear Son Jesus. There are 20 steps that help get you started building for Jesus and 10 simple steps taken on a regular basis to aid you in continuing your walk with the Lord and helping others saints draw closer to Jesus in their relationship to him. In the process you’ll find yourself being encouraged and building lasting friendships that stand the test of time.

So if you’re ready here goes, we’ll start with the first 20 steps which have been design to be simple and doable under virtually any circumstance. Remember, these are voluntary steps you take at your own pace, no one is going to lord over you to do them, but don’t let that lure you into procrastination, if it does, that’s all the more reason to get a partner and set some goals with them to get it done. Once you’ve got them done believe me you will feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment, because you will have accomplished something that has eternal, lasting value to it. Each step give suggestions on how to do them, but you are encouraged to be as creative as you can. We beg you, however, not to do anything that would bring Jesus or this ministry into a gray area or anything that would discredit the work in any way. Remember Satan’s followers are out there to find fault and discredit the followers of Christ Jesus in any way they can.

1.) Read the internet site and the link on 2010YR, or get a copy printed out so you can read about it without having to use a computer.

2.) Register as a member on the internet site, there is no cost and everything you do in 2010YR is voluntary. You can also register by mail by printing out a registration form from on line and mailing it in.

3.) Go out of your way and have a sit down one on one with Jesus, do as much reading as you need to and ask others; understand what your relationship should be with him, talk to the Lord about how you want to change (REPENT) your life and live in service to him. Decide for yourself how much you want to love him and serve him, and help others come to know him. Write out your resolve, don’t let it be like a New Years resolution, but more like a decision about how you intend to live your life for him. Add to your decision what ever level of determination you can possibly imagine, and decide to stick with it through every possible circumstance and even beyond what you can possibly imagine.

4.) Set a goal: This goal can be anything you can do or might already be doing, so long as it is something that without question you can do to the glory and honor of Jesus Christ, that’s the 2010YR way.  Most people, the goal to simply complete the 20 steps here and continuing with the other 10 steps is goal enough, that's a great goal, but it doesn't have to be your only spiritual goal. 2010YR is design to help all Christians always have a spiritual goal written down and worked toward.

5.) Get an Accountability Partner: this is especially important, it will allow you the chance to explain 2010YR to others, therefore helping you to understand it better and improve your ability to communicate it. More importantly you will personally be making an agreement with someone that will be responsible to you and you to them. You will be able to schedule times you can call one another and keep one another accountable by agreeing to ask one another pointed question and agreeing to answer truthfully.

6.) Start a 2010YR Activity Log: for many of the people you talk with it may take time to build a relationship with them and help them start taking steps to Jesus, usually if you ask they will allow you to add them to your prayer list and they usually don’t mind if you get their phone number and call them from time to time.

Develop a activity log in which you track faithfully the partners you call, dates, what was talked about, and especially any special prayer request. Challenge yourself to set small goals of helping these individuals draw closer to Jesus. Give it time even if it takes a few years that's alright, your commitment to your prayer partners is a life long commitment, thats what gives your ministry power; it's not just something you do today and its gone tomorrow, when people see your commitment they'll eventually be drawn nearer to the Lord through your continued efforts. Always have at least one partner that helps you with accountability and you them. Make an agreement between yourselves that you are going to keep one another on track in 2010YR.

7.) Add at least 7-10 prayer partners, this is a reasonable amount to comfortably work with; any more than this can become too difficult to feasibly manage. If you have more partners than you can handle you can easily get discouraged and began to subconsciously neglect the whole  endeavor. Don't let Satan have the victory, remember this is a "fight" to win souls, God is counting on you to do your part, but not more than your part.

8.) Write out your prayers: know exactly what you want to pray for your self and others, in fact if you know what you want others to pray for you, you could type it out, make copies and give them to those that are praying for you.  

9.) Post a 2010YR sign: have a local print shop make a 2010YR sign and try to get permission to post it somewhere along a well traveled route, so that people will see it and ask themselves what does that 2010YR stand for? Hopefully they will start to see them pop up everywhere as more of them are placed, and they will become interested , so that once someone tells them about 2010YR they’ll already have an interest and hopefully want to get involved.

10.) Wear a 2010YR T-Shirt: have a local printer make a 2010YR T-Shirt for you and wear it so hopefully others will ask what does 2010YR stand for, maybe you would like to get a few extra shirts made to give to those that partner with you in the ministry. You could even create a symbol for your own individual group of partners and become known for certain ministries within your group, wow! That would be fun!

11.) Have a small 2010YR event: like a dinner or a coffee party or a restaurant gathering or even in the park, you may Bar-B-Q or just whatever, the main thing is to get others either that you have told or want to tell about it, to come out for a few minutes, possibly even bring a friend and enjoy themselves in a relaxed no pressure environment, and have the opportunity to hear more about 2010YR and how its changing lives for Jesus. Just in case someone wants to place membership with a local church always have a few to refer them to.

12.) Make a 2010YR flyer and post it where you can get permission, keep it simple like saying “ GET IT? GOT IT! 2010YR  GOOD” then put on the very bottom .com

13.) Make up business cards that simply say 2010YR leave a blank space. Leave them with people, or in places or use them to introduce yourself. Write your name and number on them or give them to others to pass out and put there info on them.

14.) We're always careful how We introduce the next one, albeit perhaps the greatest form of building Christ's kingdom ever. Some Christians understand that their sacrifices whether physically, materially, or financially are treasure they lay up in heaven, and that it drives forward the work of Christ Jesus like water to a tree. Many believers are just not to that level yet, and therefore don't "see" it. We believe Jesus wants those of you that can see the value in giving and making freewill offerings to do so in faith, knowing that the treasures you lay up are much more than the sacrifices you make down here below. However, we also believe He wants us to be able to bear the infirmities of the weak; meaning that if your brother/sister doesn’t believe in giving, particularly of their money, you still need to love and treat that person with the same care and respect in hopes that your sacrifice of good will will soon guide them at least into a closer personal relationship with Jesus -- even if they never see it.

15.) Do a random act of kindness. Here's a great one: As you pay for your meal at a restaurant,  select another customer and tell the cashier you want to pay for their meal also, in secret! Give the cashier a 2010YR card to give to the person you just blessed. Remember this is a random act of kindness so don't include your name or anything, you just want them to know Jesus and 2010YR just made a difference in their life.

16.) Read 20 pages in the Bible any 20 pages they don’t even have to be in a row just find the reading you enjoy or are interested in, be prepared to take notes learn all you can from it, and make it a special event with which you can testify about for years to come.

17.) Get a car window or bumper sticker made and post it. Let others see what you’re doing. It will help you grow and expand, and get the word out about 2010YR.

18.) Have a meeting with your pastor(s), tell them about 2010YR and how effective it is in getting church members off the pews and into the world helping others grow in Christ, or if you are not a regular church attendee, tell pastors about this special ministry designed to serve the spiritual needs of those that don’t regularly attend church services, and how it will give their members an opportunity to get out there and build relationships with others that love the Lord even if some of those other people decide to never regularly attend church services or become a member of a church. Let all Christians know they can be of use to the Lord whether they are regular church goers or not. Ask your pastors to get involved and help promote this soul reaching ministry.

19.) Create an idea of your own that others can do, something that would help others draw closer to Jesus and make a difference in their life and the life of others. Then post the idea on the internet idea board at www.2010yr.com  so others can use those ideas to set goals they would like to achieve for Christ Jesus.

20.) Set a date and time for each goal represented here. Decide what day and time you are going to attempt to accomplish each event and write it down, review it, speak of it with others and certainly have a partner challenge you, and you them to get her done. Do this also for your personal goals for Christ, each time you accomplish one set a day and time for another goal. Try it, you may find that you’ll enjoy always having a goal you are dedicating to Jesus.

Upon accomplishimg these 20 steps you are encouraged to add a Star to your embridered shirts forever, showing that you at one time in your life you successfully completed the 20 steps listed here. Never down play this Acievement Award it is precious in the sight of God and a worthy testemony to your faith in Jesus and you love for his body which is the church God's people


The next section deals with the steps it takes to continue in your spiritual walk with Jesus. NOTE: We have chosen not to write a separate page listing what we believe so as to avoid potentially divisive church doctrine issues. We are all one in Christ. That is what really matters!

We personally believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God Almighty and that he came to earth and lived in the flesh, that he was crucified buried and rose from the dead on the third day to offer redemption to mankind of every age from their sins and acceptance into the kingdom of God. That every man woman and child might be saved in Christ Jesus by grace through faith which is revealed by repentance unto God, being born again spiritually and of water, to become a new person in Christ family, and changing our intentions and thoughts toward serving Christ Jesus according to the Holy Ghost sent word of the New Testament. To live in good works unto Christ Jesus, to the best of our knowledge and ability. Also to live in open confession of Christ Jesus as our Lord in our words and the way we live. That every person has the individual right to lay up treasures for themselves in heaven through the sacrifices made in their own life. That all will be raised again from death in the Judgment to be judged by Jesus according to our deeds and rewarded a heavenly home with him for obedience or rejected from him forever in hell with Satan and his angel for disobedience, and all those that rejected the Lord and Savior during their lives.

Now that we’ve said that, please understand, this ministry is not a religion, its not a doctrine, it is an evangelistic tool in the hands of those that believe that Jesus is the Son of God and accept the salvation offered through him by submitting ones life to him. Don’t ask me to expect you to believe anything beyond that. Whatever you believe as far as we're concerned is between you and Jesus. 2010YR and its leadership are not your church, pastor or a doctrine or a religion, so do not try to make it one. Again it is the intent of this ministry to encourage those that are regular church members to offer to serve the spiritual needs of, love, and accept  those that may not regularly attend a church, “in hope” that they might become an active member with a church where they can find further learning of doctrinal matters that may in many cases mean the difference between eternal life and death. Whether you are a regular church attendee or not in 2010YR you are encouraged to love and continue to work with Christian believers even if they decide never to become a regular member of a church.

Here are 10 steps that will help you grow spiritually and maintain yourself as a 2010YR building block in the kingdom of God:

1.) Pray daily for those close to you, your 2010YR partners, the nation, its government, the soldiers, and especially for all sincere Christians that are working out their soul and salvation with Jesus, and anything else you feel neccessary to pray for.

2.) Have a daily, weekly, monthly goal written out for which you work together with your closest 2010YR partner to get them accomplished. Challenge one another, set up a system of reward/punishment, for example pay a quarter for each curse word you let slip.

3.) Call your partners about once or twice a month, encourage them unto the Lord Jesus if you can, find out if they have any prayer concerns and just be a Christian friend. If you don't catch them leave a message and a verse of scripture on their voice mail if you can.

4.) Check the weekly event from the internet at www.2010yr.com and work on doing it if you can.

5.) Commit to reading your Bible every day even if you only read one verse, but try if you can to read a chapter or two, hopefully in time you'll find more desire to delve in and read even more.

6.) Meditate on the word of God, even if you only take a few minute try to think about what God's word is truly saying and how you can apply it to your life.

7.) Ask a special prayer for this ministry, that it would reach all around the world and serve to strengthen the relationship of many Christians with their Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

8.) Assess your goal in Christ, where you are with it, verses where you want to be.

9.) Make any corrections, adjustments, or changes neccessary to accomplish your goal.

10.) Write down any changes toward your goal in Christ, write down any lessons learned that day or any thing you feel would serve you well to remember for the future.
