Imagine -- Take a Look into the Future
Imagine a day when it becomes common place for all Christians that attend church regularly to have a spiritually productive relationship with other Christians that do not regularly attend church services. A relationship where they share mutual respect for one another whether they are church attendees or not. Where they share testimony to Gods goodness, pray for one another, agree to read bible verses together, attend Christian sponsored events together. Imagine the churched member agreeing to have a spiritually productive relationship with the un-churched Christian without placing any expectations or pressure on them to attend church services, but being on the level of a friend not a mentor or spiritual leader but an equal partner in spiritual growth alongside a friend.
Imagine if the same gifting God gives every one in the world to befriend themselves with others could be use by Christians to befriend themselves with others in order to help and strengthen one another spiritually whether they are regular church attendees or not.
It doesn’t matter who you are whether you attend church regularly or not, you probably already have an association, relationship or friendship with some one that is already a believer in the Lord Jesus. Just by helping them participate in the same ministry calling them once or twice a month or meeting with them from time to time, just from working with them on spiritual things you could help strengthen their relationship with the Lord and the church.
Imagine if churched Christians could be successful at eventually getting un-churched Christians to attend church services and could show their Pastor and other churched Christians that having the right relationship with Christian believers that do not attend church can make a difference, even if some don’t decide to attend church regularly.
Imagine if there was a nationally recognized ministry that used this evangelistic tool of building relationships between the churched and un-churched Christians that gained momentum, then every none churched Christian would know how to connect with other believers in Christ and how they could start taking steps along side other saints in a ministry that seeks to strengthen everyone’s relationship with Christ Jesus whether they are regular church attendees or not
Imagine if a churched Christians partnered with none church attending Christians and help pull them into an acceptable relationship with Christ Jesus. Even if not one none church attending Christian started attending church ever, If the churched helped bring the un-churched member into a relationship of obedience in Christ which makes a difference in the persons salvation in Christ; the ministry will have made a profound difference in at least the lives of those few people, now multiply that by the number of regular church attending members in the body of Christ.
When this happened the wall between the churched and un-churched Christians would be brought down and bridges would be built that help many of Christ believers walk in obedience and be active church members. This will allow the world to see the Christians in a better light. If the churched and un-churched Christians would learn to love and work with one another they could reach the world. Relationships change people not just getting them in the church.
