2010 - Year of Repentance

2010YR is a tenth year celebration and praise unto God for those who have repented up to and during the Year Of Repentance. 2010YR seeks to create opportunities for all believers "churched and un-churched" to serve and worship God constructively. Special emphasis is given to offer a way for the unchurched Christian to make a meaningful, active, continual contribution in the Kingdom of God. Its purpose is to draw all believers into a closer relationship with Christ, and to encourage them to assemble themselves with other believers in a way that would allow them to serve one another's spiritual needs.

To get involved in 2010YR believers are asked to take three simple steps towards repentance:

1. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Receive him as your Savior, and decide to follow Jesus and turn away from worldliness, corruption, excess, or anything that is unnatural, offensive or ungodly, and give yourself instead to righteousness, faith, holiness, temperance and the Word of God.

2. Set a personal or group goal with its end achievement to be to the glory and honor and praise of Jesus Christ.

3. Partner with one or more believers to develop spiritually together through regular study of God's Word (the Holy Bible.)

As the year 2010 approaches the churched and unchurched are encouraged to work together to hold public, community worship and praise events, to set a diversity of goals and events; to open churches to the community for prayer 24 hours a day, seven days a week; to create family support groups and study groups and partner unchurched believers with churched believers; to seek to depolarize and enhance cross cultural diversity; to create a multiplying regenerating effect; and to see that Christ Jesus is at the center of all we do.
